Fire incidents are disasters commonly occur in the Philippines. We might not be able to cope with the disaster during fire but we could practice precautionary measures to at least prevent it from occuring. First, always lend your attention to your young children cause their curiosity is ne of causes of fire. Move flammable materials away from or better store them in a place where children are unable to reach it.
Second, when dealing with candles, do not leave it without firing out its light. Candle is one of the common causes of fire within the squatter area. Light materials will easily be lit up. Third, maintain the quality of your electrical appliances and always remove the plug when not in used. Faulty wiring occurs when there is a short circuit that instantly happened.
Fourth, if possible, have a fire extinguisher in your house or in the establishment you are working. Fire extinguisher will help to cope with fire when it started lightly or a small fire suddenly start.
Last is to have a emergency plan. There should be a plan involving the escape route and what to do before before, during and after a disaster.
Remember that prevention is better than cure! Be alert!
