An advocacy against bullying
Bullying is not new nor strange to our perspectives when we talk about the issues in schools. Bullying is unwanted and aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance (Centers for Disease and Control, 2019). When someone was verbally or physically abuse for a certain matter, it indicates that there was a case of bullying. For instance, a boy with curly hair and dark-shaded skin is being discriminated by his classmates by saying that he is ugly and has a skin color like charcoal.

Now, why did I stated earlier that bullying is very common in schools? It is because schools are where the youth these days are more influenced by peer interactions between a group and another group or an individual. Thus, influenced is the primary cause of this issue. What is that kind of influence? If someone experienced bullying before, he/she will find a way just to comfort himself/herself through joining the other group of students or bullying others too. They find it relieving and comforting to do because he/she thinks that he/she is now a superior compare to his/her old self. Thus, the bullies experienced being bullied by other people then bully other people just to find comfort.

Why does this kind of issue keeps on fostering and growing in schools and even in the community? I think the reason for this is the silence of the good because of their fear. Their freedom to fight is obstructed by fear so they just hide their experiences and will never be open to others to discuss about it. Either they were threatened by the bullies or the fear completely ruled the personality resulting in shutting up their mouths and imprisonment of their freedom to defend themselves. The common act that they do when someone is asking about their experiences of being bullied is finding way to twist the discussion then move to another topic.

That’s erroneous . We have to fight for our dignity! The bullies should be the one that is being silenced not the person who was bullied. Boosting the confidence of the students should be the priority of the school. The teachers, staffs, and other workers in the school should always be rational in helping students and punishing the bullies. We should be focusing on collaboration, thus, giving activities involving interaction with one another in a nice way should be one of the educational techniques of schools to develop self-confidence and trust of students to one another. Therefore, for the students, uniting with one another and telling the true insight of the happenings when he/she experienced being bullied would be much easier. Thus, bullying will be reduce and might be stopped.
Another way of solving this issue is through uniting to silence the bad. Because of fear, some students don’t have the confidence to tell the truth to their teachers so teachers and other staffs in school should be convince their students not to be afraid. Also, education always starts at home. The parents should also be a part of fostering and developing their child’s mind to eradicate bullying in school. Always remember and never forget that the only way to stop bullying is to convince the victims to tell the truth and insights about their experiences of being bullied and to do that, their superiors should teach them how to interact properly with other children to engage self-confidence.
